Occupational Health and Safety Specialists
The tasks of the occupational health and safety specialists (SiFa) are support and advice of companies and entrepreneurs in all questions regarding occupational health and safety. Company- and site-specific solutions are created and documented according to the relevant rules and regulations of the employers liability insurance association and other legal requirements together with the occupational health and safety specialist.
Tasks of the basic care according to employers liability insurance association (DGUV) rule 2
- Assistance during risk assessment (assessment of working conditions) as a central element in occupational health and safety
- Regular site inspections
- Support in health protection with regard to workplace design, workplaces, work equipment and work surroundings
- Support during creation of an appropriate organisation and integration in management activities (permanent implementation)
- Accident investigation and analysis
- Professional advice regarding occupational health and safety of employers and line executives
- Advice of employees regarding accident and health hazards at work
- Creation of relevant documents
- Participation in company meetings (e.g. ssafety committee meetings)
- Self-organisation (system development)
